Tips for Keeping That Post-Vacation Feeling

I hope everyone had a wonderfully relaxing holiday weekend. But now it's time to get back to the real world. Is that how you felt all day today? Well, this week I wanted to share a few of my tips for staying in that vacation/holiday mode. Yes, it is possible.

1. Plan - start planning now for your next vacation or activities for the next holiday. Your most recent memories of the holiday will be fresh and foremost. You may have even jotted a few ideas of things you wanted to do this past holiday, but didn't get around to it this go around. Incorporate those into the next holiday or upcoming vacation.

2. Retreat - Bring those vacation feelings into your everyday life. Our last trip, we listened to music all day, every day. Create a vacation playlist and listen to it on non-vacation days. Your cherished vacation memories will come flooding back. Did you go to a spa on your last vacation? Bring those elements into your daily routine - light a candle, drink freshly squeezed juice out of a wine glass, go barefoot, keep your nails and toes freshly painted...you get the idea.

3. Reminisce - I love creating an online photo book - or scrapbook for those of you crafty folks. Looking through photos instantly gets me into vacation mode. I am transported to slower times. Happy times. Keeping stress away makes for happy days.

Since we just had a holiday, I encourage you to take stock of what you enjoyed most about this past weekend and why. Take note and capture those moments. Incorporate them into your daily routing.

Namaste,

Erin
